With fall right around the corner now’s the time to get shopping! Here are my favorite trends for fall.
I know they say no white after Labor Day, but a pair of white flares are at the top of my shopping list! If white is not your thing, go for a dark denim or a light wash. Aim for a pair with a slight or true high waist. When it comes to jeans I am brand loyal! It is very important to splurge when it comes to your jeans, a good pair can last years! My favorite brands are Paige and J Brand. Other brands I’m interested in trying (per an awesome babe’s recommendation) is Mother and Frame.
They’re back babes! If you didn’t get a pair of over the knee boots last year, make sure you get them now! This style isn’t going anywhere for awhile! Last year was all about the OTK riding boot (which will still be in), but this year is all about the thick heeled OTK boots. Structure is crucial here! You do not want your boot to slouch so much that it doesn’t stay over the knee. When it comes to shoes a few of my favorite affordable brands are Dolce Vita, Sam Edelman and Vince Camuto.
This is another one of last year’s looks that is back in action! There are so many styles of booties now that it can be confusing to know which look to go for. This fall opt for peep toe booties with or without peeps on the heels and flat closed-toe ankle booties. While your peep toes will only get you through the fall, the ankle booties will last through winter.
If I had to guess I think this trend is here to stay for a hot minute! I’m in and have a velvet black choker at the top of my shopping list. I think the trick here is to keep it simple. I recommend sticking with something in black with a soft texture and subtle print if any. I also think stacking a fabric choker with a choker necklace looks great too!
I think this trend will be a flash in the pan, but it’s cute for the moment! You can wear this as a choker or wrap it around fewer times for a choker with a necklace look. The bolo necklace helps add some dimension to your accessorizing this fall. I say give it a try!
Off the Shoulders:
I love this boho look! Off the shoulder dresses and tops are the perfect fall transition pieces. Pair tops with flare jeans and dresses with booties or OTK boots. Chokers also go perfectly with this look! Feel free to explore with prints and patterns when it comes to the off the shoulder trend. I’ll admit this scares me, but it’s the best way to pull off this look! The more hippie the better.
Now go out and enjoy those pumpkin spice lattes in style babes!
